FAMILYHOUSE PARTNERSHIP

The Familyhouse Partnership is a collaborative model between local organizations in Upper Savo which is ruled by the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (Iisalmi branch). This partnership was established in 2004 and is supported by the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA).

The Familyhouse Partnership Operating is in close cooperation with the Wellbeing service county of North Savo. And it aims to support children and families by providing accessible, community-based services. The guiding principle of the Familyhouse Partnership is “working together in the best interest of the child.” The service was developed in response to local needs and is built on strong collaboration between civic organizations and the public sector.

This multi-dimensional network model supports a consistent and unified approach to service delivery. Professionally guided volunteer work plays a key role, enabling services to reach more children and families. Children and families are always at the heart of the work. Every visit and encounter is treated as meaningful and valuable.

The atmosphere is genuine, warm, and encouraging — offering positive human connection in the midst of everyday challenges. Families are supported in taking an active role in their own lives and are empowered to act with increasing independence and confidence.

ACTIVITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Familycenter Onni and Ilona
    • We warmly invite you to the Familycenter Onni and Ilona to spend time and meet other families. Between games and play, you can eat your own snacks and enjoy the coffee and tea service.
    • Open 
      Mon–Fri 9 am–2 pm and in addition on wednesday evenings at 5 to 7 pm

 

  • Night-visiting for children. There are lots of families who has no relatives or good friends who could take their kids for overnight ever
  • Supporting person service, volunteers provides assistance to the families of small children in their homes
  • Peer groups, start with babys 0-6 months twice a year
  • activities for immigrants and refugees
  • camps for families
